Ukraine is a developing market with a population of more than 48 Million and the second largest economy in the CIS countries.
Kyiv is the capital of Ukraine and has around 3 million inhabitants. Founded in the 5th century by Vikings, the town became the capital of ‘Kievan Rus' in 988 and the spiritual centre of the orthodox religion as well as a key trading centre between the Baltic and Black Sea regions.
Today Kiev remains an important regional trading and financial centre and a vibrant and varied metropolis: Golden domes and ancient buildings sit alongside modern residential and office high-rise blocks whilst fashion boutiques jostle for space with old-style corner shops.
